The journey of
The Splitscreen Ice Cream Co
Established in 2009, the business emerged to fill a market gap for quality scoop ice cream at outdoor events.
In 2010, 'Mimi' was fully restored, bringing the vision to life, and soon after, she was delighting crowds with delicious scoop ice cream in the fields.
Over the next decade, the business expanded to meet rising demand, but just as things were thriving, the 2020 lockdowns hit, leading to event cancellations and everyone staying home. During this time, the owners chose to focus on family and decided to sell the business in April 2021. It was quickly acquired and relocated to North Norfolk, with new owners eager to return to serving ice cream in the fields.
In the four years since, the business worked diligently to provide its award-winning scoop ice cream at festivals and events. Despite facing challenges from the aftermath of lockdowns and rising logistical costs, the business has persevered and continues to thrive, looking forward to many more successful years ahead!

Sustainability
Most of the products we sell are 100% edible, but for everything else we use eco-products such as Vegware or Biopak which are made from plants using renewable, low carbon, recyclable materials. Our scoops are wooden and biodegradable and our napkins are made from 100% recycled paper and can be recycled or composted.

Our Napoli's tubs are all fully recyclable, but we go one step further and donate to local schools. They are used in the Art Department for storage solutions or for the Horticulture Department for planting seeds.

If you are a local school in North Norfolk and would be interested in receiving some of our Napoli's tubs, please get in contact.

Unlike other ice cream vans, all ours are installed with hold over freezers, meaning they maintain temperature for up to 12 hours without the need for electric or generators. When they are hooked up, they use very little power.

Our aim is to be as environmentally friendly as we possibly can to ensure we are doing our bit for the planet and keeping our carbon footprint as low as possible.
